We will be doing the usual litter picking, garedning and painting however we also want to introduce some outreach events to the programme too - cage football and messy church will hopefully make an appearance!
The cost for doing ON THE MOVE is an impressive £20 / €20. This includes a tshirt, food and all the fun you could want!
Yes, this year we also have 14 Americans joining us! Promises to be EPIC!
Summer Madness is happening from the 30th June to the 4th July 2017. We are delighted to be bringing a group this year. DRY will provide transport and food for £10 extra.
From the 10 - 12 March 2017, 28 people headed to Ballinaleck, near Enniskillen. The Cleenish Centre was our destination, and the DRY Weekend was our purpose. Kirsty Lynch, the diocesan children's officer and youth worker in Clooney was our star speaker. She was excellent, taking us through the book of Ruth, sprinkling in some Kid President, and Baz Luhrmann's Suncreen hit from the late 90's. Kirsty made many points over the weekend, but reminded us that good advice is hard to beat. Asking every young person to write out some good advice they had been given, they then stuck them to the window and were subsequently asked to take one over the rest of the weekend, which caught their attention.
We also had some fun activities planned for the young people, from heading into Enniskillen for a bit of shopping, to getting into small inflatable balls and bouncing into each other, all the way to shooting each other with arrows (panic not, they had foam!!). The Saturday was packed with things to do. We finished up on Saturday night round a camp fire sharing our favourite moments of the weekend with each other. Was a special moment, which was made all the better for smores, donuts and marshmallows for supper!
The beds were voted comfiest ever, and no one could question the quality of the catering, so all in all it was a pretty full on fun weekend. With 7 parishes represented we were delighted with the uptake from the diocese. Hopefully more will come next time, but regardless if you have 2 or 20 in your church who you think would love to come, then feel free to send them, or come along yourselfto experience the #dryfam!
We hope that you all enjoyed a time of rest & fun over the Christmas break. At the start of 2017, be assured that we are praying for you as Youth Leaders and the young people that you lead. We pray that 2017 would be a year of fruitfulness as those you lead experience the love of Jesus.

An exciting worldwide event is happening on the 27th May 2017, where every Christian is challenged to share their faith with other people the work with, go to school with or even live with in their own homes!
Ireland has a dedicated team helping to offer advice and support, headed by Stu Bothwell of Summer Madness. Take a look at their video to help explain it all below!
Imagine thousands of Christians across the island of Ireland on one day, sharing the story of Jesus Christ with those closest to them.
Our vision is to see the diverse body of Christ from across denominations, across traditions and across backgrounds, scattering throughout their local communities on one day to share how Christ has changed our lives.
27th May 2017 is Global Outreach Day. Will you join us as together, we share our story?
